Giorgio Sacerdoti

Giorgio became Of counsel of our firm in 2018. He has more than 40 years of experience as an advisor and litigator in international business transactions and is a senior academic with an international reputation. He operates in civil law as well as in common law jurisdictions.

He is an Emeritus Professor at Bocconi University, Milan, where he has taught International and European Law, specializing in international trade and investment law, contracts and arbitration.

From 2001 to 2009, he was a Member of the Court of Appeal of the WTO (Appellate Body) in Geneva (Chairman in 2006-2007), deciding major interstate trade disputes. He acts as an Independent Arbitrator in international investment and commercial disputes and as an advisor in international business matters.

He is a frequent speaker at international conferences, an author of several books and a contributor to legal journals and magazines.

• Master of Comparative Law from Columbia Law School, New York (1967)
