Margherita Mazzola

Margherita Mazzola joined the firm in 2018.

She advises domestic and international companies on a broad range of corporate and commercial law matters, with particular expertise in the pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors.

Her practice focuses on regulatory and compliance matters, including marketing authorisations for medicinal products in Italy and abroad, risk management systems, organisational, management and control models pursuant to Italian Legislative Decree No. 231/2001, and regulatory compliance.

Margherita provides ongoing legal support to companies on corporate governance, commercial contracts, dispute prevention and management, and risk mitigation strategies. She regularly assists management in negotiating and drafting domestic and cross-border commercial agreements, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and internal corporate policies.

She also advises clients on privacy and data protection, cybersecurity, corporate security and regulatory compliance, assisting businesses in the design, implementation and review of internal control systems and organisational procedures to promote effective risk management and compliance.

Within the pharmaceutical sector, her practice also encompasses intellectual property, employment law and civil liability, with particular emphasis on product liability. She has extensive experience in the preparation and development of regulatory dossiers for generic medicinal products for human use, as well as in commercial and contractual matters relating to the pharmaceutical industry, including cross-border transactions.

Margherita also has significant experience in sports law, with a particular focus on anti-doping regulations and matters concerning the use and commercialisation of prohibited substances. She represents and advises clients before the competent authorities in both judicial and out-of-court proceedings.
